Farm History:
The farm was started in 1988, and has always utilized the CSA model for the distribution of its produce. In the last few years a few wholesale accounts, along with other retail outlets, have been added to the CSA, which includes 750 households in southeast Wisconsin (Sheboygan, Ozaukee, and Milwaukee counties).
Farm Description:
The farm has always farmed following organic principles and techniques, and is certified as well. Production techniques include on-farm compost-making, cover crops, the use of electric tractors, wood-fired boilers to heat all greenhouses and farm buildings, PV-generated electrical power, and over 1 acre of hoophouses/greenhouses. Winter sales to indoor farmers' markets, restaurants, and wholesalers are possible through the hoophouses, stored produce, and some value-added processing of the farm's vegetables. Some pigs are usually part of the farm landscape as well!

From south: 43 North to left exit 57 North (Plymouth), 20 miles to County Rd. 'U', west 5 miles to County Rd. 'S', right 1/3 mile to Silver Spring Lane, left 1/3 mile to farm on left side. From east or west: highway 23 2 miles west of Plymouth to 'S', south on 'S' 5 miles, right on Silver Spring Lane, and look for first farm on left. From north: 57 South to Plymouth, then take 23 west, and follow above directions.
